2025 Christmas Message
Dear colleagues, loyal customers, and friends of KwikTip,
As the year draws to a close and the Christmas holidays peek their heads around the corner, I just wanted to take a moment to thank each one of you for your support throughout 2025.
This time of year is always one of reflection and anticipation. At KwikTip, we are grateful for your trust and partnership as we face new challenges in environmental services that push us towards innovation and resilience.
It has been a year of growth across all departments. We’ve built strong relationships with new customers and suppliers, which we look forward to strengthening even more going into 2026. We’ve welcomed two new members to the KwikTip team, expanded our fleet, and implemented new systems and procedures, which has helped cement our company culture into the daily lives of our team.
We have continued to support and champion the Armed Forces community, earning us the prestigious Gold Award from the MOD’s Employer Recognition Scheme. This is something we are proud of and will keep doing year on year.
On a personal note, this year has been filled with both hardship and joy. Recently, my lovely grandmother passed away. This was always her favorite time of year, and it will be my first Christmas without her. She was always so proud of what we’ve managed to achieve with KwikTip in such a short amount of time, and I will continue to work hard to live up to the high standards I set for myself and the company, in both her eyes and my own.
I’ve also experienced great joy this year. I’m about to become an uncle again to another baby boy. I was able to go back to South Africa for the first time in seven years to witness the marriage of my best friend. Being able to show my fiancée where I grew up is something I will be forever grateful to have experienced. And, of course, running KwikTip has been a pleasure. It has been tough, but it has been rewarding. Spending my days working alongside my father is something I often reflect on and remain grateful for. Not many people have this opportunity, and I intend to make the most of it.
To my team: keep working hard. KwikTip would not be where it is without each of your contributions. Take care of yourselves and your families, embrace the principle of extreme ownership in your everyday life, and I have no doubt we will see a successful 2026.
To our customers: thank you for your continued support. It has been a great year working with you and getting to know you all even better. We will always do what we can to support you and would not be where we are without you. As we always say in the office, “’n Boer maak ’n plan” – no matter what, even when a one-yard job turns into multiple loads, we will make a plan to get it done.
